Linda, I can't promise you results - but you might want to check where the majority of Irish in Marlboro, NJ originated from in Ireland. That might give you a starting place to look. Here in Cleveland, OH the majority of Irish came from Co. Mayo and especially Achill Island. From what I understand whole villages might pack up and move to America all at once. And I have the feeling that once someone came to a certain area word was sent back and others would follow and resettle in a give area here in the US. So, check out with the city or county historical society and see if you can find where most of the Irish in your area came from - I'll bet you will find the birthplace of your Thomas Coyne.
