Davenport Democrat and Leader; Davenport, Scott, Iowa; Monday evening, January 2, 1922 Conway Mrs. Julia Conway, nee McDonnell, 85, died this morning at 8:10 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P.J. McDonnell, 224 East Thirteenth street. She was born in County Mayo, Ireland, in 1836, and came to America in 1852, settling in Indiana, whence she removed to Iowa in 1855. She came to Davenport in 1913, and has since resided here. She was married on May 5, 1864, to Daniel Conway, who preceded her in death four years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. A.T. Coughlin, and Mrs. P.J. McDonnell, and one son, Alex Conway, all of Davenport, and seven grand children and one great grandchild. Could you contact me about the Joynt family. I have a lot of info about the ones that came up from Quebec, Ontario and settled in Manitoba. In your Joynt web site you have listed one of my relatives that are buried in Victoria. I would very much like to find out more about the Joynt and try and find out exactly were in Irleand mine came from.
