    3. I received a Family History Book from the N. Mayo History Ctr. and thought I'd share some of it's contents as I have seen the FOY name on the list lately. My gr-gr-grandparents were Martin FOY b. 1821 m. to Catherine BRENNAN. They lived in Swinford, Co. Mayo. Witnesses to their marriage were Thomas Griffin and Bridgid Fox. They had the following children: Patrick b. Jan. 1859, Collagh died as an infant John b. June 1861, Collagh Matthew b. Dec. 1862, Collagh Mary b. Jan. 1865, Lisanumera Patrick b. Nov. 1866, Lisanumera (married Mary Healy) Bridget b. June, 1867, Lisanumera died as an infant Ann or Katie b. Aug., 1868, Lisanumera died an an infant Bridget b. Feb. 1870, Lisanumera Catherine b Oct. 1871, Lisanumera Eleanor (Ellen) b. Aug. 1873, Lisanumera (my gr-grandmother) Martin b. Oct. 1876 Ellen FOY came to the US with at least 2 sisters (Mary and Bridgid) and settled in Schenectady, NY. Ellen & Bridgid married, Mary never did. All died in Schenectady. Associated surnames through marriage and Sponsors at Baptisms: Haughahagen Loftus Healy/Healey **Bridgid married an Andrew Healey and I believe they married prior to arriving to US. There is a very strong connection between the 2 families. Mulligan McHugh Hugh Durkan Henry McDonagh Devine Griffin I do have Martin Foy's parents listed as Matthew Foy, Collagh and Bridget OLIVER married in 1823. Witnesses to their marriage were Pat Mulligan and Mary Oliver (Kilconduff R.C. Reg., Marriages, Vol. 5, p. 22). We were there last year and did see at least one of the houses that was in the family and the current owner has no plans to tear it down. I was also told that we likely have people buried in Kissaller but the graves are not marked. I have not verified this. I'm sharing this information hoping that there are other lines of this family out there. There is so much more to learn! Thank you for taking the time to read this. Carol McNamara Virginia, USA
