Achill RC records for 1867-1913 FHLC#1279259 Tuam diocese Murphy and Reilly transcribed the marriage records for Tuam Diocese for 1820-1829 and Heritage Books published the book. So, I guess the answer is "No". The National Library of Ireland microfilmed the RC records from the earliest dates until 1880. The Mormon missionaries redid some of the parish records (the clue is that the FHLC# is 1279xxx) from the earliest extant to a later date. The parish priests told me that they do not have earlier sacramental registers than for the dates filmed. Nothing dramatic. . .the books are just lost. Joe Egan told me that a book has been found recently so there is always hope. Transcriptions for Diocese of Tuam 1820-29 by Murphy and Reilly are available on Ancestry.com by paid subscription only. It costs $19.95 for 3 months, which I cancelled after one month of searching the database. I did find several use entries of my ancestors. I don't usually like to use commercial geneology sites, but this was useful.
