Seeking Catherine (O')Reilly who married Owen McHale probably in the 1840s - whose son, Francis, emigrated to New Zealand in the 1860s. Catherine MAY have been a daughter of Francis Reilly of the Kilbelfad civil parish in the Backs Catholic Parish bordering on Loch Conn to the east. Three Francis Reilly's are listed in Griffiths - for Annagh Island, Annaghteige Island and Creeve Island in Loch Conn, which may well be the same Francis with reference to three different tenancies. Owen McHale MAY have been from Cuingmore in Kilbelfad and he and Catherine MAY have been the parents of an older brother to the NZ Francis, another Owen who married Margaret 'Peggy' Holmes in 1867 - a civil marriage registered at Lahardane in Addergoole Parish on the western side of the lough (so they might have eloped). As well as Owen and Francis, the Owen/Catherine marriage MAY also have produced a Michael and a Mary. Known children of Owen and Peggy (another Owen, of course, and Mary) were born at Cuingmore, baptised at Knockmore Church, Ballynahaglish Catholic Parish. Any information confirming or denying any of the above will be greatly appreciated. Best regards to all. Garry Satherley in Australia. PS: Any help locating above islands would also be appreciated - they're not included on any of the maps of Loch Conn we've been able to access.
