Hello, This information might only add to your confusion, but sometimes it helps. There are any number of Patrick Tierneys and Thomas Tierneys. Ours came from Dunmore, Galway. Our Patrick was born about 1820 and died in 1891. He had a son, Thomas who signed his death certificate. There are Tierneys still in the town. Good luck, K. Smith
