Mayo, in particular, what registration district it is in, civil parish, and catholic parish? >> Mary, Bonniconlon is now officially spelled as Bunnyconnellan, a small town five miles due east of Ballina in Kilgarvan civil parish, probably in Kilgarvin (I don't know why it's spelled differently, either) RC parish and in Ballina PLU (which, I understand, is more or less the same as Registration District). As for Whitestream, I don't find a townland or any other location on any of my maps showing a place by that name in the Bunnyconnellan area. Nothing that would seem to be an Irish source for a translation to Whitestream, either. As far as rivers are concerned, we have Black and Yellow rivers in the general area, but no White. We even have a Black Ditch. If Whitestream is more than 2 or 3 miles from Bunnyconnellan, it could be located in Kilmoremoy civil parish and - perhaps - Attymass RC parish, but still well within the large coverage of Ballina PLU.
