    2. Hello, A book called "Where the Sun Sets" by Father Sean Noone has about a page and a half on Mount Jubilee (pages 335 - 337). I read through it and it mentions that in the 1950's there was some type of conversion of land and an Eddie Deane recieved a household and farm from the land commission. The rest of the write up is a history of the townland. The book (I think) can be purchased on-line. 3. I have noted many references in the mail list to Kearney and variations on that name. Has anyone out there ever heard or seen reference in Mayo or Sligo to a Reverand Kearns, Kerns or Kearney etc. My ancestors were married in 1820 in Sligo by someone with that surname. I have hired some help in Northern Ireland to locate this church and minister with no success. Thanks for any help. Bud

    3. Ian: Griffiths Valuations has a Hugh McIntyre in Kilcommon Parish (Barony of Erris), townland of Doona - somewhere on the mainland opposite the Mullet peninsula presumably - which you might locate on the 1838 Ordnance Survey by going to Mayo Maps Online, a Mayo Library site which has the whole of the county maps on-line, go to parishes list which then lists townlands. Good luck and cheers. Garry. 1. Re: [MAYO] McINTYRE - BRICKWALL
    2. Okay - after reading numerous e-mails about listers looking for family members - I decided to jump into the pool and see if anyone has any answers for me. My grandmother (Mary Ann Muarry, born 1886 in Buckagh, Newport, Mayo), father was John Murray, born abt 1862 - her mother was Mary Sheridan, born abt 1869 Possibly born in/around Buckagh, Newport, Burrishole, County Mayo, Ireland He was one of the town weavers. John's parents supposedely were: Martin Murray and Margaret Keane. I guess they would have born abt 1835-1840? but I can't find them anywhere OR if John or Mary had siblings. Mary Sheridan's parents were: Dominick Sheridan and Bridget Geraghty I'm not sure if they were born in the same area - but they probably were born about 1840-1845 - based on her birthdate. I have tried several sites but don't know if I have to write the Records in Ireland to find birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates. I would appreciat whatever assistance anyone can offer.. ALSO: My grandfather (Patrick Bryce, born 1888 in Buckagh, Newport, Mayo) father was Richard Bryce His mother was Mary Willie Chambers. I am trying to find out if Richard had siblings. I know Mary was from a large family. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
