Kathy, This suggestion is probably something that you already know. But to be on the safe side, I'll mention it anyway. From doing my own MAYNARD research, I have found that that are a whole bunch of variant spellings and transcription typos. I have used 40 of these in my research and have found ancestors under many of the variations---it is amazing!!! There are some early tax lists for NC, VA, MD, etc. Using the childrens' names could be helpful in locating Nancy's father and/or grandfather. I have basically found that keeping a very open mind and using a very vivid imagination go a long way in coming up with some of the answers in my research. Hope I may have been a bit of help. Much good luck to you. Tootsie PS Some of the typos that I have used are Weynard, Waynard, Heynard, and Sinyard.
