Dear Jerry and List. I periodically repost my Maynard / Mainard / etc. queery just incase any new Maynard researchers have added on since the last time I posted .... so Here goes : Anyone researching Maynards out of White / DeKalb / Macon / Jackson or Davidson counties of TN.? My Maynard brick wall is a : Nancy Maynard born about 1806. By the 1830 she is in DeKalb ( I think ) and 1840 in White county. I have information on her descendants - but nothing on her ancestors. I do know that in the 1820 for DeKalb / White there was an Andrew Drury Maynard and a William Maynard - perhaps one of these men is her father ? I would love to know who her parents and siblings were. My family's oral tradition is that our Maynard line came to TN from SC. Nancy Maynard eventually lived with / married : David Scott, born 1805 in NC. The children of David and Nancy are sometimes listed with the Maynard surname , sometimes listed with the Scott surname. Does any of this information ring a bell with some of the other Maynard researchers on this list ? Kindly write to : Kathi Maynard Wiley Lwiley@copper.net Thanks KW -----Original Message----- From: Gerry White [SMTP:gw101@uswest.net] Sent: Wednesday, September 20, 2000 2:19 AM To: MAYNARD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: James Manard and Abram Wishing to help - You might also wish to post to the Menard list, or GenConnect. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Eara2@aol.com> To: <MAYNARD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 19, 2000 7:12 PM Subject: James Manard and Abram | The James Manard mentioned is the son of William Maynard of Wake Co., who in | his will dated 22 Feb 1816 (he died in 1817-1818) bequeathed to one of his | sons, James, a slave named Abram.
