    3. Joe, I haven't packed up my "TAG" yet, so I did a quick check on this. This is what it says (Vol. 23, January 1952): p. 9 "It is difficult to determine how many of the seventeen children born to John Fullerton belonged to the first wife, Ruth (Sampson), but we have found at least eight of whom we can be sure. Possibly another was a (now on p. 10) Stephen Fullerton who married Susannah White of Marshfield, daughter of John White as shown by disposition of her father's estate in a deed dated Dec. 9, 1761 [Plymouth Deeds 50:256], and if so born before 1740 and hence a son by Ruth Sampson"..... "However, Boston Vital records show a Stephen Fullerton born Sept. 19, 1731 to William [2] Fullerton and Mary Crowell, and he could have been this nephew of John Fullerton of Marshfield. In a deed he is called 'chairmaker, of Boston.' No further records of this Stephen and his wife have been found in Boston or Marshfield." There is quite bit more on this family, including some info on the 8 children born to Ruth Sampson, but it's too much to transcribe. If you want to send me a snail mail address (privately), I'll copy the pages and mail them to you. The entire article "The Early Sampsons" by Mrs. John E. Barclay, is only 11 pages long - 6 copies.
