Elias Coriell came to Ohio in the early 1800s with his 5 sons: Peter m. Mary Colvin Daniel m. Sarah Welch Sela m. Mary Welch Isaac m. Elizabeth Lewis then America Reed IRA A. m. Serena White Abraham (was born in Portsmouth, OH 1818) m. Mary White Serena and Mary were sisters. Their father was Daniel, the son of Abel. Daniel and SUSANNAH WHITE SCHOONOVER were brother and sister. Elias' 3 daughters: Jane Marie (fell off boat and drowned) Fannie m. Wm. Brown ELIZA m. Isaac Schoonover. ELIZA and Ira were siblings. Susannah was an aunt to Serena and Mary White Coriell on their father's side. Serena and Mary were sisters-in-law to Eliza as both girls were married to her brothers. note from author: This is Barb. I had posted several weeks ago under ajkids. I hope I didn't confuse you too much with the Coriell connection, but I thought Eliza might be of some help. I know a Coriell lady who might be able to give me more info on the Coriell-Schoonover connection. There are still Schoonovers who live in Portsmouth.
