    1. [MFLR] Mayflower line question
    2. Warriner, Lee (ETSD, IT)
    3. Can someone tell me how much of the following Mayflower line is considered well documented and proven. John and Priscilla Alden Dau Ruth b unk, m John Bass 3 Feb 1657 Dau Mary b 11 Dec 1669 m (2nd) William Copeland 13 Apr 1694 Son William b 7 Mar 1695 m Mary Thayer 15 Jun 1718 Son William b 6 Dec 1730 m (2nd) Sarah Smith 3 May 1753 Son Ebenezer b 12 May 1777 m Lucy Fasset 16 Nov 1800 Son Harvey b 22 Sep 1803 m (2nd) Betsey May unk Son Edgar F b 19 Jan 1844 m Ellen L (Nellie) Burrington 28 Apr 1870 Dau Grace Darling b 30 Jul 1876 m Louis Rice Long 16 Jul 1901 Dau Verna Rose b 7 Jun 1911 m Earl Adam Warriner 31 Aug 1934 Son Clyde Lee (me) I am guessing that I will need to my line starting with Harvey Copeland to present. Also in my very limited research into the FASSET Family, it appears that this line also goes back to William Copeland and Mary Thayer dau Lydia b 25 Oct 1720 who m Benjamin Fassett 29 Oct 1740. I don't know what you've looked at, and I can't offer much help. However, the very helpful Alden Kindred website lists Ebenezer and Lucy and their family. http://www.alden.org/aldengen/marywebb/marywebb10.htm However, in this particular case the details are somewhat troubling to me. The contributed information says Ebenezer married Lucy in CT, whereas the marriage is recorded in the town records of Winchester, Cheshire, NH (NEHG Register 38:31). The same contributed information says the first children of this marriage were born in Winchester, Essex, MA, beginning in 1801. However, according to _Historical Data Relating to Counties, Cities and Towns in MA_ prepared by William Francis Gavin, Secretary to the Commonwealth, and published by the NEHGS, Winchester, Essex, MA was incorporated in 1850. The Winchester, NH, town records in the Register also record the birth of the first child, Orsa. So the Alden Kindred contributed files may be flawed, and perhaps might mislead you in looking for records for these generations. To be fair, and the Genferret endeavors to be fair whenever it won't cost anything, the Alden Kindred are quite clear about this database, and they really do have a very good and helpful website: "THE ALDEN KINDRED DATABASE is INCOMPLETE. ... It contains information taken from various sources including Alden Kindred lineage papers, Mayflower Five Generations Project research, published genealogies, and other databases, not all of which HAS been fully documented." __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
