Friends: Is it not sad, but interesting that the very company which two years ago desired the destruction of a precious Pilgrim site in Leyden is in the throws of turmoil for recently overstating it's earningd by $500 million. AHOLD once wanted to develop the property on which Pilgrim structure-remains now occupy. Our top grocery store chain here (in SC is owned by AHOLD Bi-Lo). AHOLD acquiesced two years ago, thanks to Dr. Jeremy Bangs, and decided not to pursue the destruction of the site but they are in it deep today--with financial troubles worldwide. The stock has dropped over $6 per share this week. This is a multi billion dollar, international corporation out of the Netherlands. The top Officers have resigned. Kind regards, Ed Sherman
