Well, I don't think I would go quite as far as Susan did and say "no evidence", but I can certainly agree with "only a smidgen of evidence", especially with such common names as Mehitable, Adams, and Jones. But the point is academic; the info is clearly not enough. I couldn't help but notice, however, how similar this set of facts is to one I encountered in some non-Mayflower research. Based on that other case, let me suggest that Judy also search for later death records of any children of Miles and Mehitable Jones. If you find a child who died in, say, the 1880s (quite possible if mother Mehitable had a child in, say, 1810 or even earlier), the death record might give the mother's maiden name. I've seen this is on multiple Massachusetts records in the 1880s and later, and sometimes even earlier, like on this one from 1867: Death record at MA Archives, Volume 202, page 232, for town of West Newbury, stating Stephen Noyes died 19 Jan 1867 in West Newbury; age 91 years, 8 months, 12 days; married, farmer; cause of death lung fever and old age; born in West Newbury; parents' names Stephen and Betsey (Chase) Noyes, [both] born in West Newbury. It would be particularly nice if such a child had the less common name Miles as well, or if you could find one who also happens to be buried in the same plot. Best of luck.
