>>I have not yet found a resource that proves that the Polly Beebe who married James Crippen in Athens County OH is indeed the daughter of Hobson Beebe of same county.<< Susie ~ The 1880 census shows Hopson "Bube" and family. There is a daughter Mary, age 8. Could she be your Polly? Year: 1880; Census Place: Rome, Athens, Ohio; Roll: T9_993; Family History Film: 1254993; Page: 177.1000; Enumeration District: 11 Dianne
Thanks for that, Dianne, but this Polly died in 1846 and her father in 1836. I should have included that information. I did know that others say that Hopson [1749-1836] had a daughter Polly and that Polly is a nickname for Mary. I have several other Pollys in my families. I just can't prove the connection. Thanks for your help.
