Joshua Jackson 'Jr.' in Peru, Berkshire, MA on Nov 24, 1796. I do not know the identity of this Miriam or this Joshua Jackson. I thought perhaps with the last name 'Standish' she could be a Miles Standish descendant. Does anyone out there know the identity of these people? I think that Joshua was my 6th great grandfather. Thanks, Hi Linda, I don't know, but I do see that in the census there's a Jonas Standish (two, actually) in Peru in 1800 (well, it wasn't called Peru then, but same place). There was a Jonas Standish who is a descendant of Myles b. 1751. He's not followed in the old Standish gen., but if he lived he'd be a good age to have a daughter who married in 1796. I don't have time tonight to look further, but if the name Jonas appears in your family later maybe this would be worth checking. The Peru VR wasn't helpful, as you probably know already. Good luck.
