I read somewhere that only yearly memberships could be transferred to another state not life memberships. This is from the PA Mayflower Society http://www.sail1620.org/joinus_eligibility.shtml webpage: It states: "Additionally, if a move to a state other than the one in which they plan to join is anticipated, they should be aware that Life Memberships are not transferable."
