Perhaps someone can guide me. Late on the eve of this Thanksgiving I thought I hit the jackpot connecting my Mary Mitchell to the Francis Cooke line. After checking the Mayflower list's archives (2001), my exhilaration went poof! Perhaps there have been some new findings - or someone can set me straight. Timothy SAUNDERS (Mary MITCHELL5, Andrew4, Thomas3, Jane COOKE2, Francis1), The problem -- Thomas' identity and offspring were in question according to 2001 archive post. Is that still the case? Thanks for any assistance. Diane Jameson, California From: "S. Roser" <[email protected]> Subject: Fw: [MFLR] Thomas Mitchell3 (Jane2 Cooke) Date: Wed, 1 Aug 2001 08:48:01 -0400 Thomas Mitchell, son of Experience & Jane (Cook) Mitchell is not known to have married or left descendants. He last appears in the Plymouth colony records in 1672 then disappears. It is thought he may be the same who turned up in RI in 1673 and Block Island in 1678 but proof is lacking. The Thomas of Block Island is attributed with sons Thomas, John & Joseph - no Andrew mentioned here either. NEHGR 82:456-64 has a genealogy for Thomas Mitchell of Block Island. Susan E. Roser
