    2. Actually what I sent (now that I have it in front of me) is a "Proposed Application Review Form" and it asks for no documentation. It says "they will evaluate your lineage and respond with instructions" and I assumed, then, I would send in the documentation. Am I wrong in my assumption or should I have sent documentation with this form? I was under the impression they would check for others with some or part of the same lineage and I would only have to send documentation for what they didn't already have to prove my line. I have it for all but the first 4- 5 generations and I thought they were proven and accepted already. My first line was super easy but these two are really something else. 3. Carol, As others have suggested, you have done nothing wrong. You sent in the review form asking the office to check for a previously approved paper which matched your line. A paper could not be found, meaning that a) no one has ever joined the society based on your line or b) someone has joined based on your line but the paper is not sufficiently documented to be of help to you. Plymouth will tell you if there is a previously approved paper which matches part of your line which would help you with your documentation. If a paper is found, you can use the documentation from that paper up to the point where your lines branch off. This service that the society offers is a tool for you to use which may help with your documentation. When sending this synopsis of your line to the office, they usually do not check the first 5 generations because these are already proven in print - with the society's MF books. I have checked your Rogers line in the Rogers MF book (vol 19) and found that it is a valid line up to the birth of #6Job Smith - this is as far as the MF book goes. I hope this has helped. If you have any further questions that I can answer for you, feel free to email me privately. Susan E. 3. Carol, >From what you wrote originally, it would appear that you asked if ANYONE else had made application and been accepted for the proposed lineage. And Plymouth has said, no. Perhaps they should have said No, and its because its Anna CHURCHMAN and not Anna Cushman, so its incorrect to begin with--unless that's a typo on your part in the email. Follow Dale's suggestion and jot down next to the names the correct SB volumes and page numbers just so you are sure. If it was a typo re Churchman/Cushman, then Plymouth has told you that for your entire line, no, no one else has applied so "no lineage papers". Its a "virgin" application.
