    1. [MFLR] John Howland-Thomas Rogers lines
    2. I am wondering if anyone proven a line to John Howland that would include the following: Hope Howland-John Chipman Hope Chipman-Jonathan Cobb Joseph Cobb-Hannah Clark Hannah Cobb-Joseph Strout I recently sent in a snyposis of this and had it returned saying they had no lineage papers following this line. I know the line is solid and good from Hannah Cobb and Joseph Strout to the more recent generations as I already have a membership to Hopkins including the Cobb/Strout marriage. This is the second snyposis I have had returned for the same reason and I have to wonder if I am doing something wrong. The second line is Thomas Rogers John Rogers-Anna Cushman Elizebeth Rogers-Nathaniel Williams Elizebeth Williams-John Macomber Anna Macomber-John Smith Job Smith-Diadema Booth Job Smith-Bethia Stevens. I would appreciate an acknowledgement if anyone has proven lines that include these people, and perhaps a heads up to what I have done wrong. Carol **************Start the year off right. 3. Carol, It is quite possible that you did absolutely NOTHING wrong in your research. According to your messages, you submitted a synopsis for these lines and received a reply stating that the GSMD has no lineage papers which documented these lines. There are countless lines of descent from the Mayflower passengers. The GSMD has spent decades searching for only the first five generations of descendants of the passengers [and their efforts are still ongoing]. The lack of any lineage papers documenting your line simply means you will need to supply the documentation yourself with your application. Raymond T. Wing Genealogist, Wing Family of America, Inc. Carol - We would probably need to know what documentation you submitted for each generation in order to figure out what went wrong. To begin with, did you cite the appropriate Silver Books for the first five generations of each line? Dale H. Cook, Member, NEHGS and MA Society of Mayflower Descendants; Plymouth Co.
