Hi Margaret, A number of the persons who have listed Moses Chandler on the WorldConnect website list Moses as the son of William Moses Simmons and Lydia Ann Holland. I do not know if it is correct, but it works for me. John Simmons and Mercy Peabody are my 8th great grand parents. That would make us cousins some place along the way. The Joseph Alden who married Mary Simmons is my 9th great grand uncle. I have 9 children for John Simmons and Mercy Peabody and 5 children for Moses Simmons and Patience Barstow. Does this agree with your records?
