He could not have been born in Hartford in 1610-1612. That area was first visited by the Dutch in 1614 but no settlement was established there until about 1623. The first English settlers arrived in 1635. Dale H. Cook, Member, NEHGS and MA Society of Mayflower Descendants; Plymouth Co. Marge, Since Hartford CT didn't exist in 1610/1612, that birth date is either a mistake or the place is wrong and should probably be England. I looked in the Standish 'silver book' to see if there was any notation of any relationship to Myles Standish, who came in 1620, but none is mentioned. There is a notation on p. 3 that says that there is no proof that the 'Thomas of Wethersfield' was Myles' son. He was not mentioned in the will. No mention of any Thomas in Hartford that I have found. There is no Susannah Francis in the index, nor is there any Lidiah b. 1640 that I can find. So, assuming the date for your Thomas is right, you should probably be looking in the English records for his birth. Hope this helps you a little. Hi Dpmarge, Check your history. There are no records for anyone born in CT during 1610/1612. Richard ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----
