Or is my house of Mayflower cards about to come tumbling 'round my ears? Margaret Looking at Alden, Standish and Brewster

    3. Desire was a well used Doty name. One of Edward's daughters was named Desire. As I recall she was child number five. Presently I have only MF-11, part 3 with Edward's last three children Issac Joseph and Mary. Someone may be able to help you by checking on daughter Desire in another MF-11 volume. The information I listed earlier came from the Standish volume and I apologize for answering to the list. The information was for dmarge-aol in answer to her Standish-Doty connection question. Yes there is a connection, albeit not as she proposes. My point was that her facts are correct but the dates from the Standish rendition do not concur with her research dates. This was to allow her the opportunity for review. I have worked with her before and know that she does not have an MF library. Ergo: Lets dry our tears. Alexander Standish (Myles 1) first married Sarah Alden (John and Priscilla Mullins Alden). He second married Desire Doty, which should interest dpmarge. The first eight of his eleven children were probably children of Sarah Alden. The important children to dpmarge are children nine, ten and eleven where the names Desire, Thomas and Ichabod come into play. I don't want to get into an advocate researchers quandary of blowing on houses of cards or breaking Mayflower hearts. Next time I will be more careful with addresses. Craig's suggestion is well placed; first check the list FAQ.
