    3. And maybe your books themselves are upside down on the bookshelf. If the spine reads like other books, I bet they are. :-) David E. Mine are not upside down. They are 'normal'. Maybe you're just lucky??? :)

    3. You lost me there All my books are like you said. If you lay them on their back they read left to right..... OR if standing top to bottom. The Mayflower book you would have to lay it on it's face in order to read it from left to right. But as you began this...... it's way off topic. Hopefully someone can answer this mystery. -----Original Message----- From: mayflower-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:mayflower-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of David E. I noticed it, immediately, when I received the Hopkins book, so when the Warren books came that way, I told myself a joke: "Well, it must be that the publisher has "wry" neck!" Obviously, the publisher has no problem cocking his or her neck to the left. Unfortunately, I cannot cock my head to the left! If I were to put the books on the shelf so that the printing on the spine reads from top to bottom like all of the dozens of normal books in our book case, then the pages inside would be upside down when I took the book off the shelf and opened it!
