    3. It is important to know that true brothers do not have the same DNA; because if they did they would be maternal twins. But for purposes of estabdishing paternity, the son and father are types and the Y Chromosome markers are compared. If a certain number of markers match, then it is deemed to be a 99% probable match. You would test another brother sibling and should also see the same specific markers that match, yet the complete DNA strand is still different as a whole.
