    1. [MFLR] Howland question
    2. Father John Haldane
    3. I was told today by a cousin that my Elwell family (of Salem and then Maine) connects to John Howland. Does anyone know if this is true and what the connection might be? I have looked briefly at my database and cannot see where yet, but ... If true, this would be my 12th Mayflower ancestor. I would love to find out. The quickest way to check would be to just see if there are Elwell names in the Howland Silver book. If not, I will pursue other avenues. Thanks! And thank you all for the kind words of congratulations for the membership I was awarded for my Brewster connection. Blessings, Father John _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.

    3. The Robert Bartlett who is the father of the Abigail here is the Robert Bartlett who came on the Lyon in 1632, not the Robert who came on the Anne in 1623. Robert first settled at Cambridge, but removed to Hartford, CT in the genteel schism which took Rev. Thomas Hooker and his followers out of Mass. Bay. Robert had a daughter, Abigail, b. ca. 1637, who married John Stebbins, 1657. There is a biographical sketch of Robert in GMB 117-20, and a Google search will turn up many websites with these people, some of which have documentation. There is a Register article on the family of the immigrant Rowland Stebbin(g) (begins NEHG Register, 5:71) By Daniel Stebbins, _Memoir of the Stebbins Family_. It is old (1851). ***-----Original Message----- ***From: XxGenealogyxX@aol.com [mailto:XxGenealogyxX@aol.com] ***Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 2:20 AM ***To: MAYFLOWER-L@rootsweb.com ***Subject: [MFLR] Richard Warren Genealogy Look-up *** *** ***Could someone with access to the Richard Warren Genealogy ***published by the ***Mayflower Society look up this line for me? 1. [MFLR] Edward Fuller line....
    2. I am looking for some factual evidence, sources, proofs, one way or the other of the marriage of Elizabeth DUNHAM descendant of Deacon John DUNHAM of Plymouth and Samuel MUNDY, son of Nicholas MUNDY in and of Woodbridge/Piscataway, NJ about 1733. Seems there is plenty of evidence of the line in about this Samuel MUNDY and the same, in and about Elizabeth DUNHAM, from the Edmund Fuller, Mayflower Families, Vol. 4, but so far I have not seen anything other then heresy as to their marriage. (This Samuel MUNDY, the one I am speaking of had a son, Samuel MUNDY who married Elizabeth GRIFFITH and 2nd Abigail ROWLAND, so as not to confuse the two.) Thanks in advance for any information. Dave from Long Island.

    3. As with all questions of this sort, you really must contact the State Society where she would become a Junior Member to determine: 1) If they offer a Junior Membership catagory (some State Socties do NOT) and 2) What their procedures and fees might be. The State Societies are seperate entities of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Procedures and fees will differ. Bette Innes Bradway Assistant HIstorian General

    1. [MFLR] Gedcom program for Mac.
    2. I have seen some inquires about a gedcom program for Mac. GEDitCOM will run under OS8.1 to OS9.2.2 and I think it is or will be available for OSX. Go to the web and access "GEDitCOM.com" and you can download for free the latest version 3.1.1 of a great program. There is also a 400 page.PDF manual you can download. If you decide to use it the unlock key is about 50 bucks and you get free upgrades and help forever. It is not an easy program to learn but has many features. I am using it on a G3 with OS 9.2.2. Try it out at no cost. I use AOL and have had trouble downloading from the top server menu. If you download the program from the second server it is OK. There is also a problem with the manual download in AOL. If you can not get the manual, I can send it to you as an attachment. Thats the way I had to get the manual upgrade. I will be happy to answer any questions that I am able to. Note: this program is not available for Windex computers. Bob

    3. You can apply to a state other than the one you live in. Sometimes a society in another state will meet in a location closer to you. Or as in your case, you may have friends or relatives who belong to another state society. People who live in countries that have no society often belong to the Massachusetts state society, since they feel they have a "tie" to Plymouth, Mass.
