Tell me another President we have had in current history (last 20-30 years) that has had the integrity, honesty, character, love of God and Country that our current one has, excluding his father George, Sr., of course. The only other past President I can think of that exhibited the same qualities is Jimmy Carter -- another favorite of mine, but unfortunately, not a cousin. Sue Proud Cousin of President George W. 2. Craig Rich
    3. Yes, Harlow, please stay with us. Your insights and thoughtful replies are a blessing to us all. And, let's all stay away from the politics (at least here!). We are a diverse group -- probably all rather stubborn and opinionated (I know I am!) and would be better off sticking to genealogy. You wouldn't want to get me started since I'm so blasted conservative, now would you? And, while I'm at it, a year-end thanks to all of you who make this list work! There are 619 of us subscribed to this list and, in my humble opinion, 99.9% of the time it works well. Thanks to all of you for being a part of it! 3. Rather than unsubscribe right now, I ask the Listowner to ban further garbage such as has filled my in-basket today. If you people want to talk politics, call names, and play games - go start your own board, please. This board is for discussions related to the Mayflower, her passengers, and the General Society of Mayflower descendants. Continued violations should result in banishment from this board, in my opinion. I am appalled at the bad manners so close to Christmas. PLEASE respect the 600 other people who read this board and are offended by your continued diatribe. PLEASE stop immediately. Thank you. As many lines are just traced down to some (cough)American Blueblood. And not to my lines. But I know that we share common ancestors. Also I voted for Ralph Nader. HAVE A mERRY XMAS. sCOTT

    3. "MR" patriot? How 'bout "Ms" or, if you must, "Mrs."?? Because I have an opinion I must be a man??? Please. Shouldn't you capitalize "patriot" given that you're using it as a title which was not the case with my employing "president." as an aside, netiquette precludes flaming others for typos, capitalization errors, etc, well known fact. Sorry Craig. 3. Hey folks, Um, er, ah, I was only **RESPONDING** to a not so subtle stab at the leader of my country and one of my cousins. Continue the hate mail if you must but it seems that your attempts to scapegoat me in this fashion really reveals how fragile you are. If you don't want a small comment regarding politics then please don't post inflamatory slieghts about the president. Since I'm bored with all of the whining and threats to unsubscribe and the hesterical histrionics, I will not respond to anymore attempts to scapegoat me. 3. PLEASE do not unsubscribe! You MUST know that I was not offended in the least! I can't imagine anyone else was truly OFFENDED. You made a comment, a political comment 'only one Bush was elected' and I responded. Why does that upset you to the point of unsubscribing? If one makes such a cheeky comment shouldn't one be willing to tolerate a response? EGADS! Lighten up. To spare you, I will not comment for a LONG time. If only you PLEASE don't unsubscribe! --- Harlow Chandler <chandler@firstva.com> wrote: > My apologies to Denise and anyone else who may have been troubled by > my > careless comment. > > I am unsubscribing. 3. To paraphrase Bill Clinton "that depends on what the meaning of "vote" is." Of course, that wasn;t one of Bill's shining hours what with the impeachment and all. At any rate, I'm certain our ancestors would have been proud of Bill and his behavior. Thank God Gore didn't receive the most "votes." Think of him leading this country now. Of course this is not on topic BUT that's not my fault. :-) One of Thirty Million. --- Dianna Kemp Ewald <dkewald@fuse.net> wrote: > True, he was elected. > He just didn't receive as many > votes as Gore.... > > Denise wrote: > > >--- Harlow Chandler <chandler@firstva.com> wrote: > > > >"and what applies to the elected President Bush presumably applies > also > >to the appointed President Bush" > > > > > >An incorrect statement.
