Roll 148/149 page 324 line 22. and Birth Records from Fall River (1790). Microfic #19 FRVR Book 1 I have the Roll #, pages, lines, etc. but can't find these sources to request the specific page images. Ancestry does not have it nor does NEHGS. Does anyone know if they are on a CD? Or on line somewhere? Thanks! Ginny Core

    3. I'm in the Denver metro area as is Search & ReSearch, so when I've ordered from them I just make a local call and chat with them a bit about what they're working on. The last time I called, they said they're doing a remake of the Plymouth Co. CD that would include Hingham that wasn't on the original version. So it might be good to wait for the newer version. Some other CDs for Plymouth Co. and/or Mayflower passengers: Plymouth Court Records, 1686-1859, NEHGS Pilgrims and Plymouth, Heritage Books The Complete Mayflower Descendant, vols. 1-46, Family Tree Maker Mayflower Descendant Legacy, Search&ReSearch Mayflower Vital Records, Deeds, and Wills, Family Tree Maker (the Susan Roser books) Also I see that NEHGS has been adding many VRs online for members. I think they have completed Arnold's VRs for RI and most recently added Arnold's VRs for Rehoboth. But I don't know if Plymouth is in their plans for future additions. Each of these CDs has its strengths and weaknesses but, depending on your interests, all are useful. 3. Hello Lois. I am afraid I have done very little with the Doty family. My connection is through Edward's son, Thomas who married Mary Churchill. Their daughter, Hannah Doty (1675-1765), married Jonathan Delano at Duxbury in 1698/99. Their son Amaziah married Ruth Samson (and that is my Samson line). The son of Amaziah and Ruth was Ezekiel Delano who married Martha Chandler in North Yarmouth Maine. And my Delanos stay in Maine, connect to a Smith family and then Gatchell and then Jordan (my mother's maiden name). I have not documented the Doty connection except as it appears in the Samson Silver Book (MF #20) and I have not had that line certified, although it would easily be done since I have already proven well into the first 5 generations. Anyway, that is a long way to say I am sorry that I cannot help you. Good luck with your research! Although the response of many legislators indicated that they had clearly not READ or did not UNDERSTAND the IMPLICATIONS of H5158, they did understand that large numbers of CONSTITUENTS are AGAINST RESTRICTIONS to the PUBLIC GOOD in the form of POORLY DRAFTED legislation that has had NO PUBLIC HEARINGS! However, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) has CONTINUED their efforts! Specifically: December 2002 H5158 language changes have been chosen for the purposes of OTHER BILLS that are not filed yet - Modernization and Fraud Control bills that ALSO have had NO PUBLIC HEARINGS! The MGC continues to be EXCLUDED from the permanent special vital records and statistics committee to oversee the overall improvement including preservation and automation of the vital records and statistics system in the commonwealth. Even though the MDPH has repeatedly said the MGC omission was an oversight, this ERROR PERSISTS in the revisions! NO VERSION of H5158 has been made available to the public via the legislative web site since its FIRST ELEVENTH HOUR introduction in the July formal sessions http://www.state.ma.us/scripts/legis/ltsh.idq?HouseNumber=5158 The most recently reported MDPH H5158 wording changes appear as attempts to clarify the previous problems, but introduce the UNKNOWN impact of the unfiled legislation PROPOSAL DEPENDENCIES! I make reference to my12/10/02 posting on this subject. I have since located the death record of George STURTEVANT, dated 4 April 1865. I found it in Pembroke (where I ought to have looked first! ). It names both of his parents and confirms his birth date as 1809 as I had already suspected from a monument inscription. He was 55 years, 1 month and 20 days old at time of death. His parents are shown as Ichabod STURTEVANTE (sic.), born in Halifax, and Ruth GARDINER, born in Pembroke. In checking the VRs volumes I find that Ichabod was born in December 1771 (Pembroke VRs, p. 198). He married Ruth Gardiner 3 April 1803. A Pembroke tombstone birth record (G.R.-1) reads "Ichabod (h. Ruth)(December --- 1771). In an attempt to determine the next generation back I found another Ichabod STURTEVANT. He is shown in the Plympton VRs as a son of Noah STURTEVANT and Suseanna HARLOW, but his birthdate is not given. Based on interpolation he would probably have been born ca. 1750 as the fourth child of Noah (b. 7 Oct 1717, Plympton VRs, p. 206) and Suseanna whom he married 22 Nov 1744. I thought the list would like to know the status of this research. Though the FULLER and HOWLAND lines are out for now, I am very interested in proving the STURTEVANT line and research continues. Any comments on the recent findings would be most welcome. Len
