Been going through records to which I have access to try and identify Maxwell adults living in PA before 1750. Here's what I have so far: 1712 John Maxwell Acquired 200 acres in Chester Ct. 1715 John Maxell (most probably Maxwell) died 1715 noting that there were brothers (unnamed), sister Jane and a mother. This, most likely, is the same John Maxwell who acquired land 1712 given that the will is Chester Ct. Notes he has minor son John Maxwell 1725 8thm 28 New Garden Monthly meeting. Thomas Jobe, son of Andrew and Elizabeth Maxwell at Nottingham 1726 Elish Maxwell a witness to will of James Lindsay Londonogrove Twp Chester Ct. 1748 William Maxwell Exec. will of Andrew McCleary Lancaster Ct. 1748 John Maxwell Exec will of James McGrow (McGrew) Huntington TWp Lancaster but actually York (created 1749) 1735 William Maxwell Paxtang listed as churcn member, land record 1737 1738 William Maxwell b.
