Josette and Jack, I wonder if my Thomas Maxwell 1738-1785 married ANN BLACKMAR (might be a BLACKBURN?).....she supposedly died in 1836 per DAR records...I cant find her in PA...maybe she was in Butler Co., Ohio? I think there was an elder Blackburn in Chester Co., Pa living mear my Maxwells..... Don Jack we spoke about this same possibility a few years ago? This is some information I had overlooked from Egles Notes and Queries, in Lancaster County, Pa. Hugh Black was one of the earliest settlers of Derry Township, from Ulster, Ireland. He died in 1759. Wife was Margaret, children, David, Jean, Agnes, Hugh, Thomas and Mary who married ? Maxwell and had issue Nancy. Does anyone know who this Maxwell was who married Mary Black?
