One of my sisters and one of my brothers are redheads. My maternal grandmother, Fannie Sweet (Maxwell) Carman, was a Scottish redhead. My paternal grandmother, Margaret Ellen (Hutton) Justus, was an Irish redhead. The trait is recessive so you need two to tango. A trait I share with my mother and maternal grandmother: I'm lefthanded. Anyone else? Ray Justus Chandler, AZ
Ray, I noticed from your sig line that you live in Chandler. Are you related to/or know anything about any of the Maxwell's from Prescott? James Clarence Maxwell b. abt 1848, poss in MO. m. Henrietta "Etta" Densmore 1881 in Prescott, AZ ; was a building contractor there, d. 1903 buried Prescott, AZ 5 children: Clarence Roy Bert James Howard Elva Just checking... :) Heather Maxwell Noto
Ray: I am not left handed but I am left eye dominant which in most cases interprets to the same thing. My mother was one of these who kept taking the pencil out of my left hand and putting it into the right. Ralph Maxwell ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray W. Pat. I have not entered into your writings as yet. Just been watching. However I must now say, they are lefties in our Maxwell family. Two, a son of ours plus his son, and one each of a brother and sister of my husbands. Our son also has a leftie. A bunch. These are the ones which I have kept up with. Thank goodness for modern times. When I was young and younger, it was customary to tie the left hand behind the child's back and force it to use the right one. I am still looking for the parents and siblings of Alexander from North Carolina. I don't know his exact birth date, but it was probably in the 1770's/80's . Hoping to make a connection to the ones which have been posted, but no luck yet. Thank you.
