Beth. My line runs from Jane McBranty and Alexander Maxwell, mid 1700,s in Scotland, who were shipwrecked on the shore of Ireland, where their son Guy was born July 15, 1770, eventually they continues on to America, One of their sons, Samuel Hepburn Maxwell,Sr(1797) maried Rebecca Conklin, and had my gggrandfather Samuel Hepburn Maxwell,Jr(1826) in what was Horseheads, New York. I direly wish I had not lost the history of Horseheads, as I have searched in vain for it on the net. Any advise would be appreciated, as I am fairly new to geneology with limited resources, what with four teenage children and my wife and self in change of life.. Tim
