Hi all, Bit of a long shot, but can anyone help with the following? Donald James Maxwell-Timmins was married at the age of 39 in 1918 to Sarah Elizabeth Dale at the Anglican Church in Sunderland. The marriage certificate shows his father as Frank Maxwell-Timmins, gentleman, deceased. Sarah died in childbirth, leaving the above Donald with his 1st son Leslie James Maxwell-Timmins. Donald married again some 8 yrs later, and his 2nd son was born; Donald James Maxwell-Timmins. Donald died 19 March 1962 in Sunderland. I am trying to help trace the parents of the above 'father' Donald James Maxwell-Timmins. His father Frank (or Francis) was allegedly killed in a hunting accident somewhere in Scotland, possibly Aberdeenshire. His wife died 3 years later leaving Donald to be brought up by an aunt in Oxford. It has been suggested that the name Timmins was added to Maxwell or vice versa for inheritance purposes? It has also been suggested the town Timmins in Canada may have some sort of connection with the family? Any clues out there? Karen in Bonnie Scotland ps This is not my family
