GeniMax@aol.com on January 30, 2003, sent a list of Maxwells that sailed to America as taken from Filby & Meyer, 1981, Vol 2, and from Scottish Emigrants to the USA by Donald Whyte. The Baltimore Genealogical Publishing Co. has books listing some Maxwells. My own line goes back to an Alexander Maxwell who married Elizabeth Kebby and had children born from 1719 through 1735 in Sherborn, MA. I have been unable to trace him back any further. I do not know if he was an immigrant or if he was born in this country.
