It's been quite awhile since I have tried to scale the "brick wall" of my Maxwell family tree. I have traced my Maxwell line back to James, born about 1663 in?? Maybe Scotland. I know that he was in Kent County,Delaware as early as 1686. He married Alice Adams (March 2, 1688) and had at least one son, Robert, and probably others. Some of my living relatives believe that he originally came to Dekaware from Virginia because his religious beliefs were different than those who governed that state. I don't know the facts that might support this. Is there anyone of Maxwell descent that might have any addition information on this James? I would appreciate anything that might put me on the right track. Millie Everson
