Dear Ken: I'm so sorry to hear of your family difficulties of the past year. It comes to all of us in life at some point and it is hard to deal with the everyday things too. It has been awhile since I had DNA checked through this site and I know how well you managed everything. I hope now everyone will understand and forgive any lapses on your part. In the meantime I hope things are better at home now and you are getting some peace. I am looking for information on Martha Maxwell born 1963 in Virginia or Kentucky. Somewhere around 1895 she went to Kentucky with John W. Dean. They possibly had 5 children. All children had the surname of Dean. They were Troy Kilman, Gladys, John W. , Jr., Theodore Roosevelt, and Thomas. All children had the surname of Dean. They were born between 1896 and 1914. There is some question about the actual mother of Theodore Roosevelt and Thomas. Martha then totally disappears and and John is found in 1910 married to Ellen Deaton. Can anyone help me? Did Martha die, leave or remarry? Thank you, Virginia in Seattle -- "A nation of Sheep will beget a government of Wolves.: Edward R. Murrow
And also another identified as Minnie & Ida MAXWELL, taken in the 1880's or 1890's at the same studio. Cannot tell if it is another photograph of Ida HUSTON MAXWELL or not, I don't think so but it is hard to tell. Maybe George had siblings Ida and Minnie MAXWELL? Dear Virginia, I am interested in all Audley/Edley MAXWELLs. Some are clearly in my line. The ones who went to Georgia via Boston -- http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/m/a/r/Jimmye-M-Martin-1/GENE1-0001.html -- seemed connected by the AUDLEY name, and then it was proved by DNA testing. There is some evidence to suggest that the Boston MAXWELLs passed through Virginia very near my MAXWELLs on their way to Georgia. I recognize your Audley, but I have his wife's name as Zipporah WHITE. Without reading through all my notes, she may also have a DUNSTAN connection. Your Audley was the son of Thomas MAXWELL and Mary "Polly" MARRS. Thomas' parents were Audley MAXWELL and Ann MATHEWS, my 5g-grandparents. I descend from Thomas' older sister Elizabeth, who married her first cousin Mathews MAXWELL. I haven't followed Martha R. MAXWELL's line forward, but I found her in the 1870 and 1880 censuses. I also know that her twin Nancy Elizabeth married William B. HUBBARD. I found her in four censuses, plus I have her death certificate. You say that Martha and Nancy were born 18 Sep 1863 in KY, but Nancy Elizabeth's death certificate says she was born 10 Sep 1861 in Wise Co., VA. The 1870 census says b. KY, but all other censuses say b. VA. I have no evidence that their parents lived anywhere but Virginia -- Mercer Co. (now WV) and then Wise Co. Oh, so you have an ancestor named Hu Maxwell also- is that what you meant? It is an unusual spelling. Hu had six brothers- CJ ( Charles Joseph), Wilson Bonnifield, Thomas Edwin, John Franklin, Levi Hendron, Robert Rufus, and sisters Anziletta Elizabeth, Mary Angelina, Dorcas Angelica, and Anna Catherine. The parents are Rufus and Sarah Jane Bonnifield. Is there anything I can do that will be helpful to you? Hi Don and all M's=== I AM STILL HERE WITH YOU AT AGE 90!, Betty, my wife, is now in a Carlisle nursing home at $300 per day. We are learning to live with the situation, and my daughter Kathy is a fulltime caregiver. I give her my LtCol retirement pay... she lives about 2 mile distance in Carlisle. In the past two years, my six grandchildren, have presented me with ten great-grandchildren!!! Pretty soon they will all be on computers beating me since I still have to type one letter at a time with my paralyzed right arm! My grandson, SEAN, has volunteered to assist you. He lives about ten miles away in Camp Hill, where the RiteAid Corporate headquarters is located. He has worked for them about ten years in the computer repair and maint. dept. for the whole nation! I am not sure if he writes HMTL, but two other grandsons do. However, they are located in Buffalo and Baltimore areas. Rob, oldest grandson in Baltimore, is the one who originally helped me in setting up the first MAXWELL DNA HOMEPAGE with ancestor listings. I still have this on floppy, but don't know how to work it anymore --- 90 yr old memory ain't grade A. But it may be of use if you need it. What in the world has happened to Ken...is he trying to copywright our info, or why is he hiding his passwords...I may even have it. I also have a lot of data sheets on the HUGH MAXWELL tree...are you interested in having it? This brings up your 3204 kit number. I cannot find it on the new webpage; my numbr as you know 3202. It would be nice to have a box on PAGE ONE of the new DNA homepage where a donor coul type in his DNA kit number...this saves time in searching thru all of those group numbers. My group is 12. This will be a busy weekend with six family visitors from Buffalo. It would be great to have a phone call from you next wek...it is 717-249-2339. Best wishes to you and your family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....................Max In a message dated 10/11/2013 8:40:08 A.M.
