    1. Re: [MAWORCES] Sylvanus Stone:
    2. Vital Records Project
    3. Here's a bit more, Fred. Sylvanus's parents' birth places were not given on his death record. The record had that Sylanus died in Dudley and was buried in Sturbridge. Looking for marriages, I found both of these in Sturbridge: Sylvanus m. Nancy Wolley on Sept. 28, 1855 in Sturbridge. She was 35 and born in New York City. Her father was William Wolley. Mother isn't given. Her first marriage. On Apr. 28, 1861, he m. Hattie E. Felton. She was of Stowe (sic). She was 38 and born in Stowe. Her parents were Isaac and Susanna Bliss. This was her second marriage. On this record, Sylvanus's birth place is given as Sturbridge. His age is given as 56. That doesn't quite match with the death record. I found Nancy's death. Here's the record: Nancy A. Stone, a. 40 y. 4 m. d. Mar. 18, 1861 of consumption. Her father was William Woolsey. (Different from above.) I looked at every Stone birth in both Dudley and Sturbridge from 1855 to 1888 and could not find any to Sylvanus. Do you have any other information on the children you have attributed to Nancy and Harriet (Hattie)? Maybe I missed them.
