Born in West Brookfield, Jul 1, 1823 to Joseph and Polly. Enl. for 9months, 8/20/62. Must. Sept 30, 1862, 42d Regt., Co. F, Mass Vol as Private. Disch on Aug 20, 1863. F, Mass Vol as Corporal. Discharged on Nov 11, 1864. In 1886, living in California.
