    3. >From the Windham County Transcript published in Danielsonville, (town of Killingly), CT 9 Mar. 1887 Edward Perkinson of Worcester, a brakeman on the N. & W. road, received fatal injuries, Wednesday night, by falling between two cars just below the upper switch in this village (Danielsonville). The flesh of his right leg was terribly mangled. Drs. Hibbard and Jenkins were immediately called and made the poor fellow as comfortable as possible for his trip on the boat train to Norwich. On his arrival in that city he was taken to a hotel, but although he exhibited great physical courage, he steadily failed through the night, and died early Thursday morning. Just before his death he gave an attendant the name of his affianced and asked that she might be notified of the accident. The young woman arrived too late to see her lover alive. She left on the same train with the remains for St. Alban's, VT, where the young man's father resides. His age was 23.
