    2. Dear Jackie: Is there some way you could narrow down the location in MA to a specific county? I have the CD series for the whole state up to 1850, but they are divided by county and I'm not inclined to hunt through all of the different CD's. A few of the records do go beyond 1850, so I'll look if you can put me in the proper county. Happy Hunting! Allan E. Green In a message dated 8/4/2008 3:01:47 A.M. The bride was Philomene Gendron DesChamps. Her birth father's surname was Gendron but she often used her step-father's surname of DesChamps. Of course his name was often misspelled as Disher, Deshon. Added to the confusion, the bride often used her American name -Mary Field/s. Believe she married around 1852/3. She was listed with her mother and step-father's home in Fitchburg on the 1850 census. The groom's original French name was Francois Remi Renaud-Deslauriers. The family mainly used the surname Deslauriers while in Canada, but he changed his name to Jeremiah LUCIUS. This was often misspelled as Lucier, Delorier, etc. This couple were my grgrgrandparents and I have looked for their marriage record for years. I really could use some help! 3. NEGHS I think this is the marriage you are seeking: Deshon Filemon Fitchburg 1859 128 180 Marriage Item 75, Oct. 1, 1859 Jerimiah Delurer, residing Keene, NH, 25, laborer, born Canada, John and __?__[I can't figure this out] Deluver, first marriage Filemon Deshon, residing Fitchburg, 19, born Canada, John Deshon, first marriage, Edward Turpin, Catholic Pastor Lucius Oliver Fitchburg 1864 170 159 Birth Item 14, Jany 17, 1864, Oliver Lucius, male, born Greenfield, Jeremiah & Mary (Disher), residing Fitchburg, harness maker, parents born Canada Phonetic spelling wins the day! A hint for the future. Give more information on the possible ages and birthplaces. That will give us more to go on. I seached NEGHS Fitchburg VR, and did not find them until I searched for Deshon. When I saw Filemon, I thought that would be the one, and it was.
