(CARLE) PARKER, 84, of Hendersonville, NC, formerly of Warren Ave., died in Hendersonville. Her son, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Stephen V. PARKER was killed in the Vietnam War. She was a former member of St. Stephen's Church. She worked as a wholesale buyer for more than 20 years at the American Merchandising Corp., retiring in 1970. Born in New York City to Arnum V. & Catherine M. (HANLEY) CARLE, and lived here 17 years before moving to Hendersonville, NC in 1987. *Nothing is mentioned about a spouse. Her burial is in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. December 31 1989, Mary (MARKARIAN) PROTANO, 63, a son, Guy PROTANO of Worcester was KIA while serving in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. She was born in Wocester to Michael & Mary (BAKER) MARKARIAN. She leaves her husband of 44 years, married Nov. 28, Guy PROTANO. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. February 24 2003, Worcester, Katherine H. (MADLER) LATINO, 78, and her husband Joseph A. LATINO, died June 7 2005.***This was an unique situation where her obit only stated that she was a Gold Star Mother, but when I noticed her husband's obit, their son's name was told, U.S. Marine Corps Pvt. James E. DEGNIS, was KIA in 1968 during the Vietnam War. His father, Joseph LATINO was born in Maynard to Carlo & Maria (CASTELANA) LATINO. The mother Katherine was born in Worcester to Samuel & Anna MADLER. She worked as a technician in the anesthesia department at Memorial Hospital for 17 years. Her and her husband where married 53 years. Both are buried in Notre Dame Cemetery January 20 1990, Putnam, Anna D. (SULLIVAN) ST. PETER, 83, mother to Herve ST. PETER Jr., missing in action during WWII. She was active for many years with the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross. Born in Williston, VT to William & Della (BENARD) SULLIVAN. Widow to Herve ST. PETER Sr., 1972. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. January 12 1992, Auburn, Albertus L. (WEAGLE) STEWART, 83, a son, Wilfred L. STEWART was KIA in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. She was a member of First Congregational Church and the Gold Star Mothers of Worcester County. Born in Nova Scotia to David C. & Bessie (ZWICKER) WEAGLE. She leaves her husband of 67 years, Clarence W. STEWART. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. March 20 1989, Southbridge, Eva (ST JEAN) LAROCHELLE, 96, a son, Roger LAROCHELLE died in WWII. She was past president of the Gold Star Mothers in the Southbridge area, and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Born in Southbridge to Clement & Valerie (LEDUC) ST JEAN. Widow to Aime LAROCHELLE in 1953. Burial in New Notre Dame Cemetery. **************************************** More to follow
