I am researching our Read family genealogy and am trying to connect my John George Read with the George Read who signed the Declaration of Independance. The family lore is that we are related. John George Read was born c 1824, the census' say he was born in MA, which I assume is Massachusetts, and his Ontario death certificate indicates that he was born in Worcester. I cannot find a birth record for him in the Massachusetts Vital Records Online and am wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions. Linda Urquhart Windsor, Ontario, Canada
