In the1870 census, there were 3 Belford families listed in Massachusetts and they were all in Worcester County. In Southbridge: BELFORD, Joseph, 48, born Canada, farm laborer Pauline, 44, born Canada William, 18, born Canada Edwin, 16, born Canada Mary, 13, born Canada Delia, 3, born Mass.
