My great-great grandparents are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster, MA. My great-great grandfather was Andrew Korch (Kovalcik). According to the gravestone, he was born in 1867 and died in 1939. He obviously did not fight in the Civil War, since he wasn't even born. His year of immigration from Austria to the United States was 1889. Next to his gravestone is a G.A.R. marker. There are no other stones close to that marker, but there appears to be enough plots for more than two people to be buried there. I am guessing that other family members are buried there without stones. Is there any way to find out who the G.A.R. marker is supposed to be for? Does anyone know how to contact someone at Mt. Zion Cemetery? They don't seem to have a web site. This is a link to a photo of the stone and marker: http://www.greenerpasture.com/genes/images/korch_andrew_elizabeth.jpg Thanks in advance!
Try the town of webster http://www.webster-ma.gov/index.php?page=departments Town Clerk to ask about the cemetery and Veterans dept to ask about who marks the graves I also just found this website for Olde Webster - looks pretty interesting http://oldewebster.com/ You could also try contacting a local funeral home. Someone should be able to give you the contact information. Lisa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beckie Thomas" <beckie1@greenerpasture.com> | My great-great grandparents are buried in Mt.
