Hi Dick, I checked with my husband, Ralph, who has worked on radars and still has some of those old ones. He has many books regarding them. He suggested that it might be Western Electric who made most of the early units. The other suggestion was ARC (Aircraft Radio Corp) who started out on the east coast, just outside of Worcester, and were later bought out by Cessna and moved to Wichita, Ks. (The old radar units that he is looking at in his shop right now were manufactured by Western Electric.) Some early radar parts were manufactured under J.A.N. (Joint Army Navy) endeavors, He said he didn't think that Raytheon got into that field until late in the war. Hope this helps and gives you a starting place in your search. What was that company & what were they making? She is still alive in MA, but does not remember much about it. There were many young girls working there during the war. Likely nothing in papers during war, but possibly just after. Dick in MD **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance.
