Dick; I think that you mean WWII since radar was not developed until then. During WWII Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville did radar work. I have a tape from my Grandfather where he described that Whitin Machine Works shifted from making textile machinery to military use - including radar. He stated that folks were bused in from Worcester to add more labor. Sorry that I don't have more information, but I hope this helps.
