pages 382, 379 Rev. Joseph DORR was settled in Mendon in 1716 at a salary of 70 pounds for the first year after the death of Rev. RAWSON. He received 75 pounds afterwards. His wife was daughter of Rev. Grindall RAWSON.His son, Judge Joseph DORR Jr. was widely esteemed during the Revolution. Reverand DORR's Pastorate continued 52 years until his death in March 9, 1768. His body lies near that of Mr. RAWSON which is in the town of Mendon's ancient burial place. Sept. 28, 1774, Joseph DORR Jr. Esq. was chosen delegate to the Provincial Congress, to be held in Concord Oct. 11th.
