Could someone tell me if it is possible to find obituaries from the Milford Daily News and the Worcester Telegram and Gazette for the year 1945? Where would I write or search for these? Many thanks, Helen

Hi Helen: Go to http://www.worcpublib.org/ . This is the Worcester Public Library and when you get there click on Ask a Librarian. If you know the name and date at least within the month, you can ask if they will look for you. There is no charge and what they find they will mail to you. As for Milford papers, I don't know. Those you may have to good to Milford to read, or get someone to read them for you. Milford is part of the Metro West conglomerate. You might try the Boston Public Library. Uxbridge also had a paper and they are at the library in Uxbridge. Mendon Library also has some newspapers on film, so you might ask there. Helen, Yes, both of those papers were around in 1945. for the Milford Daily, contact the Milford Town Library http://www.milfordtownlibrary.org/ for the Gazette, contact the Worcester Public Library http://www.worcpublib.org/ Worcester does not charge a fee.
