Robin, I went to school in Worcester in the 50's and remember well the parks; Green Hill Park has a tower, so does Institute Park and I think there was one in Davis Park. Bancroft Tower (off Park Avenue near Worcester Polytech) is on the register of historic places. If you go to the search engine Google and type in Worcester and then add Green Hill Park you will get some pictures of the parks in Worcester. I don't know the significance of the towers ... I know there is a tower like structure in a cemetery in Milford Worcester County and it is a copy of towers in Ireland. Jean
